ING Group is a global financial services company of Dutch origin providing a wide array of banking, insurance, asset management and pension services in over 50 countries. Group member Nationale-Nederlanden established its Hungarian subsidiary as a green field investment in 1991. The Hungarian N-N Insurance Co. started sales in September 1991 and by the summer of 1993, the company already managed more than one hundred thousand policies. ING Mandatory Pension Fund is the second biggest mandatory fund in the country with 425.000 participants and the Voluntary Fund is also one of the biggest among the 82 Hungarian voluntary pension funds. With its 425,000 members and HUF 349 billion assets under management at the end of 2007, ING Mandatory Pension Fund creates stable and reliable background for the pension savings.
